早些时候 Uber 确认，两名 Google 高管加入了公司的工程团队，其中一位是前 Google 搜索老大 Amit Singhal，另一位是前 Google 工程高级副总裁 Kevin Thompson，前者将在 Uber 担任工程高级副总裁，而后者则负责市场方面的工作，同时向 Singhal 汇报工作。
前 Google 搜索业务的老大 Amit Singhal，在 Google 工作了 15 年之久，他是 Google 的第 176 号员工。加入 Uber 后，Singhal 将与 CEO Travis Kalanick 一同主导无人车项目。
前 Google 软件工程高级副总裁 Kevin Thompson 为 Google 效力了 12 年，在职期间他主要负责 YouTube 广告部门的工作，他于去年 11 月辞职。
Uber 在过去两年陆续从 Google 挖走多名公司高管。Google 前公关主管 Rachel Whetstone 于 2015 年 5 月加入 Uber，一个月之后前地图业务主管 Brian McClendon 也加盟了 Uber。
